Incident Report
About Incident Reporting
We endeavor to create a safer community and event space. However, in the spirit of Risk Aware Consent, we acknowledge that no relationship, play, or activity is without some degree of physical, mental, or emotional risks.
This form provides a reporting process for consent and ethics-related incidents both inside and outside our event.
We only take first-person reports and cannot act on hearsay or third-party reports. We do not take anonymous reports. In alignment with our community’s focus on restorative and community practices, being able to contact and gain understanding from those who are sharing their experiences of misbehavior and abuse is paramount to the environment we seek to build. When requested, we can endeavor to keep the identity of the reporter private, though we cannot act on reports without sharing some information with the accused. Please note that this choice might limit our ability to take action. Additionally, sharing any content of the accusation with any party might reveal the reporter’s identity unintentionally.
We acknowledge that this could be a barrier for some individuals. If you are in need of support with communication in the filling out of this form or future conversations as part of an ongoing investigation, please note the name and relationship of the person providing you support during this process (ie. partner, friend, other community member). If there are other accommodations that would be helpful to you, we would love to find ways to meet them.
If you are not the person who directly experienced the incident or Divergent Denver is unable to get in contact with you, we will read and save your report for reference; however, we will not take further action without corroborating firsthand accounts or legal documentation (registry lists, restraining orders, court mandates, etc).
**Targeted online or in-person harassment is considered a firsthand experience. Please attach any relevant screenshots or documentation of harassment.
